We offer a comprehensive screening for sexually transmitted infections.

We screen for a large number of infections including:

• Hepatitis B&C
• HIV
• Syphilis
• Chlamydia
• Gonorrhoea
• Genital warts
• Herpes

Our clinical staff have additional training in this area through the British Association of Sexual Health & HIV (BASHH) and can take all the necessary blood and swab tests.

It is best to wait for 2 weeks after any contact that you are concerned about as prior to this the test results may not be accurate. You should attend sooner if you have any visible symptoms.

Please do not urinate for 1 hour before your appointment as this can affect the accuracy of the test.

We appreciate that this is a sensitive subject so we provide the service with discretion and confidentiality.

A full STI screen costs 90 euros and the results are available from your doctor within 10 days.

MTU students can avail of STI screening free of charge.
