Are you thinking of trying for a baby?

This is designed for individuals or couples who have recently started trying to conceive or are considering a baby in the future. It consists of a 30-minute consultation with one of our female GPs, ideally on day 2-4 of your cycle. The cost is €200 for individual females (€80 euros without AMH) or €100 for individual males and €300 for a couple. This includes:

• Fertility Questionnaire
• Relevant Examination
• Blood Tests
• LH, FSH, Oestradiol
• Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
• Prolactin Hormone
• Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) [see below for details]
• Rubella Screening
• Cervical Smear (if eligible under Cervical check)
• Semen Analysis
• Personalised advice to enhance fertility based on findings
• One further review visit on day 21 (or adjusted to cycle length) for Progestogen level : €50

Have you been trying for a baby but nothing is happening?

If you have been trying to conceive for a while and feel it’s time to consult the experts, then this is this package is best option for you and your partner. A woman's age is one of the main factors influencing her chance of conception. Ideally, investigations should be started after six months of trying if the woman is over 35 and if younger, after they have been trying to conceive for 12 to 18 months.It consists of an hour long consultation with one of our female GPs, ideally on day 2-4 of your cycle. The cost is €300 for a couple. Alternatively, you can also book separately for 30 minutes each €200(F)  / €100 (M). This includes:

Female Partner

• Fertility questionnaire
• Relevant examination
• One set of blood tests on Day 2-4 of your cycle
  • LH, FSH, Oestradiol
  • Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
  • Prolactin Hormone
  • Rubella screening
  • Viral screen for Hepatitis B, C, HIV (this is mandatory for all patients attending assisted conception units)
  • Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH)
     
• Further blood test on day 21 of your cycle (or adjusted to cycle length)
  • Progestogen : €50
  • Gynaecological examination + cervical smear if due
  • Urine based test to exclude infection

Male Partner

• Referral for Semen Analysis

For both partners

• Personalised advice to enhance fertility based on findings
• Referral to specialist services as appropriate

Do you want to find out if you have an above/below average reserve of eggs in your ovaries (ovarian reserve) or do you want an indication of how many fertile years you have left or whether or not you should put off pregnancy?

Anti Mullerian Hormone (AMH) is a new blood test for quantifying ovarian reserve. Blood levels of AMH can indicate the number of immature follicles in the ovary. Low levels of AMH in the blood can suggest poor ovarian reserve and declining fertility. AMH is produced by granulosa (follicular) cells in the ovary. These cells play a role in the development of follicles and the maturation of eggs, during a woman's reproductive years. This is a 30-minute appointment and the total cost is €200 euros. The blood test for AMH can be carried out on any day of the cycle and results are available within 10 working days
