Grand Parade Medical Practice is continuing to provide Covid 19  booster vaccinations.

Due to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant, The HSE has asked that we prioritise the rollout of vaccination boosters over the next 4 weeks.

We are contacting our registered patients by text based on age cohorts. To date, we have contacted our patients over the age of 40 years and plan to offer vaccination on the week of the 21st December 2021.

We will continue to move down through age groups as these are completed. This is dependent on an adequate supply of vaccines from the HSE. 

As a result of providing these vaccinations, we have limited routine appointments until January. We will continue to offer an emergency service for those who are unwell and encourage these patients to continue to contact us.

Any person over 16 years is eligible for a vaccine booster provided that it is 3 months since their 2nd dose of a Pfizer or Moderna Vaccine or 3 months since their single dose of Janssen Vaccine.

If you have had Covid 19 and have been fully Vaccinated, you need to wait 3 months to receive a booster dose under current guidelines. If you have had Covid 19 and are partially vaccinated, you can receive a 2nd vaccine 4 weeks after the infection.

We will also continue to offer first and second-dose Vaccines to those who have not yet been vaccinated or are partially vaccinated.

We are also offering vaccination to Pregnant women as a priority.
